Trip down to Singapore (Part 2)

We overnight at Johor Bahru (JB) because it was too expensive and costly for us to stay in Singapore.

Early in the morning at 6am (4th day), it was a raining day. We didn't know it would be so jam at Singapore. We had our breakfast and left the hotel by 7:45am. All the public transport decreased their speed, especially the MRT to avoid any accidents due to the weather and slippery trails. I have mentioned how bad it was in one of my previous post where we stuck at the JB custom for almost an hour or more, I not sure, but is hell long that gave me sufficient time to blog. A friend in Singapore told me that, it was so terrible jam that most of the employees in the public transport called to their manager to apologized for being late to work, and some used email, so as my brother sitting beside me. He had a meeting appointment with one of his customer at 10am. By the time we reached the Singapore's custom booth, we were having some problem, which is my passport expiry date is less than 6months. Oh Shyt, I didn't know there's such thing as 6months rules to travel. I didn't check due to the rush and last minute planning, but luckily, they let us pass but have to go to the block B to get the stamp permit from the officer. After everything is settled, we are good to go and continued the journey. Well, is more like me, alone, continuing the journey. I was dropped at one of the nearest MRT station and I began my very first time travel alone journey around Singapore.

It feels nice to walk alone, but, is still best if there's one more person accompanied you. This is because you will need someone to take pictures for you or selfie with you. It totally feels awkward to just take tons of pictures of yourself alone (selfie), where people might think that you are "Forever Alone". Well, that's half true or almost true.

Firstly, I took the MRT to Raffles Place station (NS26 / EW14). This is a place that you must go, because you can't really says that you have been to Singapore if you did not take a picture with the Merlion (Mermaid + Lion) statute, and also the Marina Bay. However, it would be a lovely view of it in the night too. On the way to the Merlion, you will passed by few lovely bridge which is Cavcnaga Bridge and Jubilee Bridge. There's also a beautiful park and museum.

After that, take the MRT again to Bayfront Station (CE1 / DT16). At this station, you will be able to go Gardens by the Bay with 5 minutes walk. Inside Garderns by the Bay, it is divided into different parts, some is free admissions and some isn't. There's 3 main popular gardens which is Flower Dome, Cloud Tower, and one more (I forgotten the name, but is nicer view during the night). There's different price charges i.e Old citizen, adult, children, non citizen and number of gardens to visit. It will be much better and clearer to take a direct look at the pricing list at the counter or search for them through internet.

I chosen the Flower Dome garden, because of the word "Flower" and I'm glad that I made the right decision. It was so chilling inside and there's all sorts of different types of flower, plants, cactus... However, wasn't able to view finish everything as there are some were still under constructions. Later that, I took a walk around the opened air garden, all the way to the MRT station and ready to go to my next spot before meeting my friends at Dhoby Ghaut Station.

Next is the Botanic Station (CC19 / DT9). What am I doing at Botanic Station? Of course is to visit the Botanic Gardens. But, I almost regret about it because theres only one part was interesting to see, which is the Evolution Garden. Whereas the others, nothing much. In there, you will be able to learn and gain knowledge of the plant evolution  from million and millions years ago.

After that, I took the MRT again to Jurong East Station. The purpose of that is actually to meet a friend from Dragon Nest at 5pm, which is working nearby that station and travel together to Dhoby Ghaut station. But, in the end, he wasn't able to leave work place and reach meet me by time. In the end, it was another Dragon Nest friend who I met at Jurong East, Edwin (a.k.a DarkNitz, in game daddy). He accompanied me to Dhoby Ghaut station and meet with one of my best friend, secondary friend that recently work in Singapore. As we were waiting for my friend that working near Jurong East to come, we looked for a place to settle our dinner. Oh ya, another friend which we waiting is Bby (I called him pigu). And the rest, how the dinner goes.... I don't have to say much about it. There's introducing, chatting, gossip for 2hours and farewell to all of them. Is time for me to travel back to Johor Bahru.

Oh ya, there's some issues when leaving Singapore. Remembered that I mentioned, there's some minor problem with my passport? Yes, that's the one. Well, the card, we have to insert it every time we entered to Singapore at the custom and leave the Singapore. We wasn't able to insert the card because the officer at the custom counter asked us to followed another 2 officer which escorted us to block B to get the stamp permit to travel in Singapore for 1day. After getting the permit, the officer did not notified us that we need to go behind block B and registered ourself entering to Singapore. And therefore, we were fined 10dollors when we leaving Singapore's custom.

So everyone, remembered to insert the card, each time you entering and leaving Singapore to avoid any unnecessary fines.

Trip down to Singapore (Part 1)

Finally, I got the motivation to write the trip that I had which I had promised. So now let's get started without wasting any of the time.

All these one week trip was a last minute planning, like seriously last minute. It was planned on the very day that we are going. Skip those shyt, as usual, prepared things for the one week trip, cash passport toothbrush and others that is commonly  travelers will bring along with them. So yeah, that's how the trip begins.

First, we arrived at Port Dickson, where most of the youngsters will go for a short trip/overnight/BBQ by the beach. Well, I don't have much things to write about here, because we were just overnight for one day at a new opened budget hotel, Mirage Hotel. I didn't get to go to the beach, because it was still raining, how disappointed :(

On the next day, we leave the hotel early in the morning and drive to the next stop, which is Malacca, a tourist destination, a historical places. There's Jonker Street, Famosa, Red House and more.. Delicious food by the Peranakan, Chicken Rice Ball, Durian Purée Puff (recommended to tried it, if you do not hate the durian smells, RM10.60/6pcs). All these places can be reached by walking distance and is a good exercise, Pokemon GO (if you played) and hatched those eggs. Besides that, there's also a few museums (free admission) with air-condition that tourists can visit to know more about Malacca, Malaysia. And during the night, it was whole lots different than the Jonker Street during the daylight. Stall stands will be lining along the streets, singing, food & beverages.............but.....t remember to take care of your own belongings to avoid anything gone missing or being pickpocket.

I get the meet few of the friends from Dragon Nest, Bryan (in game hubby) and Rairai (in game mama). Is nice to finally meet them in real life. Ermm, well, that only applies to Bryan, as Rairai I had already met him when he came over to KL for the Animax. We had a good time chatting and dinner together.

The next destination for the next day was Johor Bahru. Actually, I got nothing to write for this state for now, because it was a stop for us to go to Singapore the next day and the following days. But we tried to learn how to cross over to Singapore as this was our very first time to go there by car. So we want to find out how's the customs procedures, the requires and withdraw Sg dollar. For first time traveler by car, you need to applied for a card (Ez Card), an IMPORTANT card at Block B after you passed through the Singapore custom. It works something similar like the Malaysia's Touch n Go card, where is needed for entering Singapore, passed through ERP, using their MRT, pay for parking lots and leaving Singapore. Therefore, make sure you must have sufficient money inside your card to avoid any penalty charges. You can top up your card at any 7-Eleven with charges of 50 cents or at MRT station's machine.

So, we got our card and entered Singapore. Our priority mission is to withdraw Sg dollar by using the credit card given by my dad. He got a Singapore credit card, but however, he gave us the wrong pin which unable for us the withdraw money from the ATM machine @@ and he don't even remembered the password. So we drove back and exchange Sg dollar at Johor Bahru (JB).
